Yoga is a Hindu spiritual discipline
which includes the relaxation of the mind and body. It is an age old practice
which is being followed centuries back by the religious practitioners. In Sanskrit
Yoga means ‘union’ i.e. the union of the mind and body. Yoga is the real way to
experience the spirituality of the mind, body and spirit. In Yoga the mind,
body and spirit are fused to be one. It helps you to maintain a distance
between various day to day tensions, struggles, sickness, etc. It helps you to relax after a tiresome day.
Yoga, as we all know, is aimed to unite
the mind, the body, and the spirit. Yoga if done in the right way can find
harmony and heal itself.
What does one need while going for
Yoga??
A
person just needs a Yoga mat, a bottle of water, a clean towel, a comfortable
fitting dress and a relaxed mind. Yoga mats should be of a good quality otherwise
one will slip and break his bones. Good mats will give you better grip.
When a person has completed all the
levels of Yoga he can start a Yoga Workshop. He can set up a small room
somewhere in his backyard or in the garden or anywhere where he feels it is
comfortable for the instructor i.e. him and the yogis to relax without any
disturbance. Yoga workshops can be conducted for different age groups like
teens or the youth, pregnant ladies, elderly couples, etc. there can be
separate Yoga Workshop for ladies
and gents or at times there are combined as one.
Yoga Retreats are also held worldwide where one can attend Yoga
classes on a mass scale. This is mainly done to attract people of all age
groups to the importance of Yoga. Stress management is the main topic when one
conducts a Yoga Retreat.
People who conduct Yoga for the welfare
of mankind is called sevaks and their work is called Seva i.e. serving. Seva Yoga is a blessing in disguise. The
joy and happiness you get by offering your love and affection to another human
being becomes a blessing for you.
